These are all things anyone can do today and every
day to start feeling better.
Ask yourself?
DO YOU WANT TO FEEL BETTER? ARE YOU WILLING TO CHANGE YOUR THINKING TO FEEL BETTER?

Recognition: Seek professional help for a proper Diagnosis and Treatment .

Believe that a higher power can help take away the pain of Depression. (You have to help as well!)

Forgive yourself for past mistakes. (Feelings of remorse and self-hatred will never give you peace of mind!)

Forgive others whom you believe have harmed you. (Feelings of hate and revenge will never give
you peace of mind!)

Tune out and turn off depressing Music. Find up-beat music.

Do Something! Anything! Hobbies, Sports, Helping others Find fun activities you might like to do. Hang
out with fun people. Voluntary work.

Exercise at least every other day. Walking or dancing would count as exercise.(With-in your Physical limits.)

No Drugs or Alcohol! (Un-Prescribed Drugs and
alcohol actually make Depression worse. Once you
have beaten Depression, social drinking on a minor basis may be OK. If you have a known Drug or
Alcohol problem join a local AA or NA program.

Eat a Healthy Diet of balanced foods! There is some research lately that suggests adding Fish Oil (1 gram
of fish oil,Omega 3 daily) to your diet can help with depressive disorders.

Learn how to put a positive re-frame all negative thoughts. (Negative thoughts and feelings will never give you peace of mind and are a major cause of depression!)
*Cognitive psychotherapy and medication is the most recognized treatment for Depressive Disorders. There are some examples of Cognitive Therapy connected with this site. See your mental health provider for actual treatment. Ask them if this site complies with their planned treatment for you and should it be used between treatments with them.
